A journey on this legendary river aboard a Dahabiya Nile cruise offers the romance of the past – with every modern comfort and convenience. A wonderful mix of superb sightseeing, traditional cuisine, and attentive personal service. Adventure & Luxury Awaits…

Stopping at the sites others don’t see
The relatively small, manoeuvrable Dahabiyas are able to sail to less accessible monuments, islands in the river and villages along the banks, where the huge cruise ships never come or moor. You’ll find no flashing discos on board, but it is might be possible to attend a show by local musicians under a twinkling night sky.

Pure Wind Power: True sailing boats – not motorized
Our traditional two-masted Dahabiya Nile boats are based on the design of original Dahabiya boats from the late 18th and early 19th centuries and are powered by the wind only. No engines! – Just the sounds of the breeze wafting through the sail and the water breaking over the bow.

Dahabiya sailing itineraries and sightseeing
Our three Dahabiya boats, The Orient, Zekrayaat and Loulia, sail up and down the Nile between Esna and Aswan. We offer a guaranteed choice between two itineraries: 4 nights upriver from Esna to Aswan, 3 nights downriver from Aswan to Esna. No minimum number of passengers, with fixed dates for each trip on each Dahabiya Nile cruise. Read more about our Dahabiya Nile cruises.
